Pre-Travel Blog

Dear ITEM and Next-Gen Partners,

In just a couple of days I will be leaving again for Africa. I will be making three stops. The first place is Nairobi, Kenya. I will be dropping off another two boxes, almost 100 pounds, of books from my library that I am donating to Intl Leadership University, where I first taught in 1998 and where I got my start as a missionary.

From there I will travel to Uganda and will speak to four different groups on various apologetics topics. The first group is Apologetics Uganda. The second group will be pastors, then students, then church members.

Before leaving Uganda, I will have the chance to see my long time friends, Julius and Grace Twongyeirwe. Julius was one of my original students in 1998. He got me started in Uganda in 1999. And started his own training ministry, Proclamation Task, soon thereafter. ITEM sponsored him when he came to the US to get his MDiv. He later came back to get his DMiss. He is going to show me the PT Training Center which was only a dream when he and I prayed over the land where it now stands.

After transiting back through Nairobi, I will head to Lagos, Nigeria where I will speak three times on various apologetics topics before heading for home on Sunday, May 5.

Please pray for the normal things, safe travel, health, receptive audiences, and clear communication on my part as we tackle some challenging topics from a biblical Christian worldview.

As always, I will be in touch along the way with reports and pictures.

By His grace,

Steve
