Hello Everyone,
I’ll not keep you long today. It’s been a slow day and except for meals and an after lunch walk in the heat, I’ve been indoors staying cool. The pictures I’ve added today are pictures of the grounds where I am staying and the road nearby.

FIRST STEP TO SEEING UP TO 200 RURAL CHURCHES TRANSFORMED
Things get going tomorrow. From what I’ve heard, this seminar is at the heart of what Africa needs. Pastor Dalmas, whom you will meet during the next few days, has a ministry in a rural area outside of Mombasa. He told me he is working with 200 rural pastors. That is hard to imagine. And what that looks like, I couldn’t tell you. I expect to learn more. What I do know is that the large majority of African churches are in these rural areas. Not all 200 pastors will be at the seminar. But this is a start.
Dalmas is the key player here. Nathan will be the one following up. It is our prayer that in the months ahead, Dalmas will become familiar with our curriculum: two seminars and mentoring. And will become the point man, working with Nathan and Steven Mzungu, who you met in a picture taken in Nairobi a couple of days ago, to see that as many of these 200 pastors as possible become godly examples, equippers of the saints (Eph 4:12), and Bible expositors, through whom God will begin to transform lives of church members and churches, generally.
PLEASE PRAY
Pray for the seminar ahead. Pray for Nathan and me as we lecture, that the presentations will be clear and understood and taken to heart. Pray for Dalmas, that he’ll pick up on ITEM’s philosophy of ministry and core values quickly. Pray for those in attendance that they will hear and understand and embrace the truth from God’s inspired Word. Pray that believers and churches will eventually be transformed by what is beginning in this area this week.
Thank you in advance for your prayers.
By His grace,
Steve
